Developed during the third edition of the LENTA Artist Residency by BETA Contemporary & Casa Pardal, this limited series of seven studies introduces a new body of work by Madison Tyrell. The series continues the artist's ongoing investigation into the threshold between the visible world and unseen realities, where symbolic imagery and the logic of childhood imagination converge.

Working intuitively with oil on paper, Tyrell approaches painting as a space in which the boundaries between perception and the intangible begin to dissolve. Rather than depicting the unseen, these works create the conditions for its presence, allowing ambiguity, intuition and mystery to remain active within the image.

Conceived as the first chapter of an evolving investigation, these works reflect a practice that privileges attentive observation over certainty, inviting viewers to inhabit the quiet space where one world gradually gives way to another.
